Today we took up homework from last day on page 440. We still have to take up page 440 #10 next day.

We also did a lesson on modeling the area of various shapes with variables. The big ideas we talked about today were:

- when we model

- when we model

- if you multiply x by x, a simplified way of writing that is x^2 (x sqaured)

- to solve equations we use opposites, & the opposite of squares are square roots!
