We have been going over the unit recently in order to prepare for the test on Monday. I have attached our review notes from last class. Make sure to study this weekend.
On Friday we learned about getting the rate of change from a line. We learned that this can be also called slope, pitch or grade.
Here we have some Khan Academy videos discussing rate of change which we have been covering in class this week.
Your homework is to watch these videos and make graphs. Bring the graphs in to class on Tuesday.
At the park
Today we went over the NBA task and the CSI Granite Ridge assignment. We also looked at the many terms and definitions that we have been using in this unit.
If you have been away this week here is a collection of the notes and handouts you have missed.
I have a few more videos for you to watch before Thursday November 7th. These ones outline Cartesian Planes and how to use them. Today's question: Why is this equation called a linear relation y= 2x +6 ?
Can you plot the coordinates of the Nyan Cat's path on a Cartesian plane?
In this lesson we learned about scatter plots. We learned how to graph points and set up a chart. Note that I have made a mistake on one of the slides in this note. If you watch the Khan Academy videos in the section titled Introduction to Cartesian Planes you should be able to find my mistake. Bonus points (double zout) to whoever can find the error.
Hi Everyone, Your homework is to watch these 4 videos before class on November 5th. In class we will have a quick note and then the rest of the time will be used as a work period. Your question from the videos is which video does not belong?
